Ali Sarah is an Abstract Intuitive Artist who currently works out of her studio in Sydney, Australia.

Her creative practice explores the theme of coming back to self and celebrates the deeply rooted strength of women through the lifespan.

Her work is grounded in emotion, lived experience and a deep connection to landscape.

Early on Ali achieved a BA in Fine Art and Education from UNSW College of Fine Art majoring in painting.

She has returned to her creative process more recently with much gratefulness.

Coming back to art feels like breathing again and Ali wants to share her process and stories as she finds her way.

The Breath in Between

I am an intuitive abstract artist that is exploring my art practice to come back to self. My work is grounded in emotion, lived experience and a deep connection to

The absolute joy that painting is giving me is a place to feel, release and meet myself again.

I work in layers of ink, acrylic, oil and pastel and in many ways am finding my way. I am drawn to the sweet spots of life, the shadows and the quiet moments.

I love the organic way that abstracted landscapes also reveal our life experience, our stories and wounds and joys.

My work is deeply shaped by women’s stories — the quiet, enduring strength that so often goes unseen. I’m drawn to the gentle, in-between spaces where resilience and vulnerability sit side by side; where intuition, creativity, and a deeply held inner knowing guide a woman through both the visible and hidden chapters of her life.

My landscapes sit between familiarity and abstraction allowing space for personal interpretation, I want the work to feel accessible and also offer something a bit otherworldly, a sense of story that is both known and undefined. I hope that viewers can find themselves reflected in the work.
